The spectacular blogging event that provides us with the opportunity to delve into the filmography of a certain actor or actress who we are not that familiar with, has finally arrived. This fantastic idea was the brainchild of the wonderful Virginie from The Wonderful World of Cinema. The blogathon was first launched back in 2016 with Virginie and I co-hosting. The time we are joined by film enthusiast Samantha from Musings of a Classic Film Addict.
As I previously stated on my announcement post, discovering new stars is like discovering a pot of gold. There is something rewarding about witnessing the talents and on-screen presence of an individual who you once dismissed or who you haven’t seen before. For this event I chose Linda Darnell. She’s my Mother’s namesake, but before watching her in A Letter to Three Wives for the first time last year I had always dismissed her for some reason. After exposing myself to her work, I can now honestly say that Linda is cemented in a reputable position on my list of favorite actresses.
I hope that all participants were impressed by the body of work that was amassed by the star of your choice. I know I was, and I’m excited to hear about your discoveries. For those bloggers who are submitting articles today, Please send them into me and I will add it today’s recap. If you want to view the entries from yesterday, please visit Samantha’s blog, where the day one entries are showcased. All posts published tomorrow must be sent to Virginie. Thank you, and now I kindly present Day Two’s discoveries.
