It is with absolute pleasure that I am honoring my third favorite actress, Joan Bennett this weekend with her very first blogathon. Unfortunately, Joan is extremely underrated, and is in need of more recognition, so its about time that I’m putting her back on the radar.

Hi Rebecca. I’ve been trying to leave a comment under your article on “Hallow Triumph”, but I’m having troubles commenting on all blogs. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for participating in the blogathon, and for contributing this great article. I had the same experience with this film. I was expecting it to be so much better, so I went into it excited. I initially thought it was going to be in the same league as some of Joan’s other noirs, but I was wrong. The film fell flat. It was very weak, muddled, and it just wasn’t suspenseful enough. However, I did enjoy Joan in it, but even she couldn’t save it for me.
I’ve also announced other blogathon, and I’d love for you to take part. Here is the link.

Here’s my review of Two in a Crowd! It was so exciting to watch a movie of Joan’s that was so unlike anything of hers that I’d seen before. Thanks for hosting, and thanks for this awesome opportunity!

Hi Erica. I’ve been trying to comment on your article from the Joan Bennett Blogathon, but for some reason I haven’t been able to comment on most blogs. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for taking part in the blogathon and for contributing this great article. I seen that film for the first time a few months ago, and really enjoyed it. I was actually taken by surprise, because I initially thought it would be quite silly.
Also, I’ve just announced another blogathon, and would love to have you join. Here is the link if interested.

Hi Crystal! No problem at all. I often have trouble myself and was not able to comment on everyone’s posts for the Joan Crawford blogathon either. 😕
It was a real pleasure to take part in honouring Joan Bennett, who was a lovely gal. I sure hope that you’ll host another edition of it in the future. 😊
Thanks so much for the invite! I’ll check my schedule and then look at some possible choices. 👍

Hiya again, Crystal! 😀
I have thought about it and I would love to write about “The Mountain” and “Broken Lance”, a Spence/Robert Wagner double feature.
Also, for the Barrymore marathon coming up tomorrow, I unfortunately will not have the time to do “The Paradine Case” but will be submitting my article on “A Family Affair”. 🙂

Sounds great Erica. I will put you down for those two films. I look forward to reading your article on “A Family Affair”.

Dear Crystal,

Hi Tiffany. I left you a comment yesterday on your blog, but I don’t think it went through. I have published my first article for Clean Movie Month. The film I wrote on is a Pre-Code, but this is a Pre-Code that could have easily been released once the code was enforced, so I chose this film as my first post to compare. All the rest of my articles will be code films. Anyway, here is my article.

Dear Crystal,
I’m very sorry for not responding to you. I glanced at this comment and was so glad that you had submitted a link, but I didn’t have time to respond. Last week, my sister and I were conducting a ballet workshop every day and had to drive an hour and a half to get there. It was so much fun, a dream come true for us, but it really threw of my writing schedule. I am trying to catch up now. I will republish your articles very soon. Thank you for participating!
Yours Hopefully,
